Teppei Yumoto (湯本 鉄平 Yumoto Teppei) is a character in Fugou Keiji Balance: Unlimited.
Overview[]
Teppei is a member of the Metropolitan Police Department Modern Crime Prevention Task Force. He is a gambler who loves horse racing and boat racing.
Appearance[]
Teppei is a man of average height with dark brown hair styled into a short ponytail with an undercut. He has small, thick eyebrows and is often seen with his eyes closed.
For his attire, Teppei wears a dark purple dress shirt tucked into linen-colored pants with a brown belt, white and brown loafers, and a pale pink jacket with brown accents. He also sports a silver watch on his left wrist.
Personality[]
Teppei is portrayed as a rather aggressive and forceful individual who holds disdain for the higher divisions and their treatment of the task force.
He is also shown to have a passion for horse and boat racing.
Synopsis[]
Episode 1[]
Teppei angrily slams down his hand, complaining that other divisions always ask for their support last minute. He exclaims that they're not as bored as other people think, however when Haru Kato looks down at his desk, he sees that Teppei's actually been reading from newspaper articles and writing his ninth horse racing paper.
Etymology[]
- The name Teppei means "iron" (鉄) (tep) and "flat, broad, level, even, peaceful" (平) (hei/pei).
- Teppei's surname Yumoto means "hot water, bath, hot spring" (湯) (yu) and "base, root, origin" (本) (moto).
