Fugou Keiji Balance: Unlimited (富豪刑事 Balance:UNLIMITED Fugō Keiji Balance:UNLIMITED) is a Japanese anime series by studio CloverWorks which began releasing on April 9, 2020. It is an adaptation of the Fugou Keiji novels. The show is officially licensed by Funimation.

After the first two episodes of Fugou Keiji Balance: Unlimited were aired, it was announced that the rest of the anime would be delayed until July 16, 2020. The postponed broadcast began from Episode 1, with new weekly episodes—starting from Episode 3—airing on July 30, 2020.[1] On September 2nd, 2020, Funimation announced the dub cast for the anime, and the first dubbed episode premiered on September 3rd, 2020.[2]

Season one of the anime officially ended on September 24, 2020, with the eleventh episode.

Introduction

Daisuke Kambe, the heir to one of the wealthiest families in Japan, works as a detective in the Modern Crime Prevention Task Force (MCPTF), where officers who caused problems in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department are sent as punishment. Haru Kato, a kindhearted detective, is selected to be Daisuke’s partner. Daisuke judges everything by its monetary value, even human lives. Kato, who believes that there is more to life than money, is disgusted by this behavior. See how these two disparate personalities come together and bring their unconventional methods to bear, tackling seemingly perfect crimes and unsolvable mysteries![3]

Synopsis

The story centers around millionaire Kambe Daisuke, the heir to one of the wealthiest families in Japan, who is assigned as a detective to the Modern Crime Prevention Task Force (aka MCPTF), at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Taking full advantage of his vast family wealth, he spares no expense in solving complex crimes, and has the tendency to evaluate everything including individual human lives in terms of their monetary value. Kato Haru, a detective with a compassionate heart who believes that money isn't everything, is chosen as Kambe's partner but is repulsed by his materialistic attitude. Having diametrically opposing personalities, witness how the two join forces to tackle seemingly unsolvable crimes and mysteries![4]
